We live in a society where you never know what the person next to you is going through. You can't even fathom what some people deal with from day to day. I feel like in the mix of life we get caught up in what OUR agenda is, without any real regard for the person next to us. It takes a big person to reach out to other people and want to make their days brighter and better. It takes a HUGE person to stand up when they see injustices and attempt to make a difference. It takes an enormous person to let go of their fears, sacrifice and not think of only what will benefit them but what will benefit others around them. Now imagine if we lived in a world where more people actually felt that way. If we put other people around us, even those people that we don't know, what if we tried to do what was better for ALL people. Imagine that ? I find myself getting caught up in the fast paced life only really being concerned about things that apply to me. Instead I should be thinking about the whole, how I can impact others and help people. I have to constantly keep myself in check and realize that no man is an island onto themselves. You cannot exist that way. We need each other and to help one another.
Your act of kindness and caring could save someone's life. I'm not saying let people take advantage of you or be a pushover. Be motivational, and inspirational, offer people words of encouragement. Help make this world a better place.
